Tournament Rules & Format
Format: Individual Net Stableford (Shotgun Start)
Field: 72 Players (18 Groups)
Start Time: TBD
1. The Scoring System (Net Stableford)
Instead of counting total strokes, players earn points on each hole based on their Net Score (Gross Score minus Handicap strokes). The goal is to get the highest point total.
- 0 Points: Net Double Bogey or worse
- 1 Point: Net Bogey
- 2 Points: Net Par
- 3 Points: Net Birdie
- 4 Points: Net Eagle
- 5 Points: Net Albatross
> Pace of Play Note: If a player reaches a "Net Triple Bogey" and has not holed out, they must pick up their ball to speed up play. They receive 0 points for that hole.
2. Shotgun Start Logistics
- Group Distribution: There are 18 groups of 4 players.
- Tee Assignments: Each group is assigned to a specific hole (Group 1 on Hole 1, Group 2 on Hole 2, etc.).
- Starting Signal: Do not tee off until the air horn/siren sounds.
- Transition: Upon finishing your 18th hole played, return carts immediately to the clubhouse.
3. Contest Rules
All contest markers must remain on the green/fairway. If you move a marker to putt or hit, you must replace it in the exact spot.
A. Closest to the Pin (All Par 3s)
- Holes: TBD
- Rule: The ball must be on the green to qualify. If your shot is closer than the current marker, write your name on the placard and move the marker to your ball's position.
B. Longest Drive
- Hole: TBD
- Rule: The ball must come to rest in the fairway to qualify. Distance is measured from the tee box.
4. Local Rules & Etiquette
- Tees:
- Men: TBD
- Women/Seniors (65+): TBD
- Lift, Clean, and Place: permitted in your own fairway (within one club-length, no closer to the hole).
- Bunkers: Play the ball as it lies. (Optional: If bunkers are in poor condition, allow "Lift, Rake, and Place").
- Out of Bounds / Lost Ball: To save time, treat all lost balls as a lateral hazard. Drop near where the ball was lost or went out of bounds, add 1 penalty stroke, and play on.
5. Tie-Breakers
In the event of a tie for the overall points champion:
- Match of Cards (Back 9): Best point total on the final 9 holes (10-18).
- Final 6: Best point total on the final 6 holes (13-18).
- Hardest Hole: Best points score on the #1 handicap hole.
